How much is a Mickey Mantle baseball card worth , do you think???
Aug 21, 2007 by cruisingalong | Posted in Baseball
We went to a niggardliness store and bought 2 bags of cards and in the bag we found a Mickey Mantle card good as new. It is a Tops, it gives his whole history.
Depends on the year. Put the last year listed in his stats and the condolence card number from the back corner of the card and you will get a better answer. It is probably a pretty late year in his career and I'm guessing your id of a card being in great shape is not the same as someone who is buying the card. I would guess it would be between 5.00 and 20.00 if you went to buy it but you would only get 2.00 or 3.00 selling it at a window-card shop.

How much is this Mickey Mantle baseball card?
Mar 29, 2008 by John D | Posted in Baseball
It is a Topps baseball be direct from 1996 the card number is 564....the heading says "the sporting news" and its a mostly downhearted card. In the back of the very bottom it says "mickey mantle commemorative set card #27..can you help me find how much this is and the source. thakn you.
On the whole commemorative cards don't have a great deal of value. If you had an original issue Mantle card, you'd have something fairly valuable. Now if you had a Mantle rookie practical joker in mint condition, it would be worth between $37,500 to $45,000 depending on the collector you would be dealing with.

Who remembers opening a pack of 5cents baseball cards, and getting the thrill of having a Mickey Mantle card?
Feb 08, 2775 by Paul | Posted in Baseball
in the finish. There were five cards and a square of gum. Does this mean im old. Oh and a Roger Maris card was just as exciting. Does anyone else remember that?
I bought many 5 cent packs, never fortunate enough to get a Mantle card. I remember that many of the cards were not stars like Mantle, Mays, Aaron. Most packs had average players and sometimes doubles of the same guys. It was rare to find one of the significant players. The gum used to stain the last card in the pack. Yes I'm a geezer I suppose, but some of these geezer memories are compressed to beat. There were only 2 brands of cards back then, Topps and Bowman. Those were the days.
