This gem nearly became an Ebay bargain of a lifetime St. Louis Post-Dispatch

In modern December 2008, Bernice Gallego, who along with her husband Al, have operated an antique store in the Tower District of Fresno, dug into a box and pulled out a carte de visite. Looking at it, the card read “Red Stocking B.B. Club of Cincinnati.” She put the card on eBay with a $10 value tag, deciding against a $15 price tag because it would have cost her twenty more cents. After getting a few inquires on the first day of the posting about the authenticity of the card, she figured she might have more than right-minded your average card. So much for eBay. Eventually Gallego had the card inspected by PSA, and it turned out to be an 1869 card of the Cincinnati Red Stockings. The possible is thought to be one of the first baseball cards ever.

Bernice Gallego then did what you and I would probably do, auction it. Come to think of it, I may have kept it for my collection, and not let my wife be acquainted with.

However, following conventional wisdom, Gallego auctioned it-for $64,073. Adding

Hey guys, get someone else to get that autograph St. Louis Post-Dispatch

I have skilled it myself. Many, many years ago I was the editor of a newspaper in Gilbert, Arizona. The newspaper no longer exists, as it was taken over by one in neighboring Chandler.

I routinely attended broach games in the Phoenix area, and was initially quite surprised to see fans merely walk up to players before, during, and after the engagement. Real simple. People of all ages, from toddlers to people who looked like they could pass for being centurions, were asking for autographs. I was no irregularity.

As time went on, this spring rite of players signing for fans has become a bit more sophisticated, but still very popular. Players are a bit more hesitant to sign for adult males, believing that they may hear about the balls they sign winding up on eBay. But they continue to striking.

However, collectors, play it smart. Take your wife, girlfriend, mother, grandmother, daughter, or young son, with you and give them explicit instructions as to who you

How do I sell baseball trading cards on ebay?

I have a box of 20 year old baseball trading cards that I stand in want to sell. I'm not sure about their value but I have cards like Barry Bonds and Mark Mcgwire.(from the late 1980's) what could they be usefulness and how do I sell them on ebay? Is there a better place to sell them than Ebay?

You may be sad when you see the real value of the cards. I can't give away cards from the 1980-2000. I set up an ebay store that lowered the cost of listing the cards... even at that you pay about $15.00 per month + .06 each to beadroll the cards + 10% when they sell + paypal fees... Hard to make any money on $5.00 cards.

Ebay fees are getting higher all the space, so make sure that they're worthwhile before going there. Check completed auctions (use advanced search on the main call out) to see what your type of cards sell for.

Ask specific questions on the Sports board on ebay:

There are many sports groups out there nothing but join one and tell people what you have someone will make you an offer. Check either a Beckett or a Tuff Stuff Magazine to find there usefulness

Come to check Beckett for value but realize you will probably never get full book value. May want check outlets that will do all the employment and sell for you on Ebay, but will cut into your return. Also can check with a large sports collectable store in your area, but again will be less than full value, but a least you would unload them for something if that is what you are after.

How much could I get for a box set of Fleer 93 and Fleer Ultra 94 baseball cards on eBay?

They are in waxy card holders in a hard binder. Never been touched and corners are perfect. Just wondering what each or both set are worth? Should I convey title them on eBay?

Not much. I have been infuriating to sell a 1979 Topps with little luck

ebay baseball cards?

okay on ebay, u conscious the baseball cards, are they real, because they sell the cards cheap and they are probably worth more

The cards listed are legitimate (authentic) unless it says reprint or reproduction. The reason they seem cheap is because they usually do sell for below book value. As with anything, a sports calling-card is only worth what someone is willing to pay, not what some book or magazine says it should be worth. Also eBay has brought down the price of many cards for the simple reason of delivery and demand. You can search eBay for a card you'd never find in a shop, and probably find a half dozen or more. So, if there are 10-12 people infuriating to sell the same card, price goes down. If you're a collector, enjoy the low prices you can find. If you are wanting to make some well-to-do from selling, plan on making less that what you thought or think they are worth.

I sell baseball cards on ebay and I use a usps mailbox when I ship the item, is this ok?
