where can I find cheap faux wood ceiling beams?
If you go into a Lowe's or a Retirement community Depot and go back to what they call their "millwork" desk, just ask the guy there about composit interior trim and tell him what you are looking for. They more than probable won't have any of that in stock, but they will gladly order it for you. Some of your specialty or high-end lumber yards might carry some in stock. Depends on if you understand of any of these places in your town or not. Might just be easier to go to the home stores. Make sure you know the length that you impecuniousness or the square footage of the room you want them in. They'll need to know that info before you an order it. This stuff isn't that at. Don't know if you knew that or not. But if that's what you want, then you'll have to pay for it. Good luck.

The cheapest of the economy would be to fabricate them yourself out of cardboard, then cover with contact paper.
Perhaps making them yourself out of 1 x 4s or 8s etc would be your crush bet. Youll need 3 pieces cut to length you need for each beam. Fasten together like so, I___I Its called a box trestle.
How to match wood stain for internal faux wooden beams?
I have faux xyloid beams in my new property which appear to be stained very dark brown (almost black). Its hard to say what type of wood but it is rough sawn and the contaminate is almost a peat colour.
Ripping them out or stipping them back to a natural state is not an option.
There are some paint splashes and unstained parts that I crave to get rid of. What type of stain should I go for and how do I match the colour.
Could it be paint of some sort? It looks more like a wood stain though as there are patches where it seems to be thin and well preoccupied into the wood.
Any suggestions appriciated.

where can i find faux or carbonation wood to cover my popcorn ceiling (not beams, they would need to cover the whole ceiling) thanks!
1x6 toungue and flute pine is a good solution, and its stainable, make sure you mark your joists so you can screw them into the rafters though, after the first routine, the rest just trimming, and hanging. Cedar is also available, but pine is less costly.
