Where in the Indianapolis or the surrounding area can I buy tin ceiling panels to go onto a backsplash?

I have already looked at the common places , big box stores, all special orders , I want to see before I buy
this may be a lot more drudgery, but probably worth it... check out some architectural antique stores around the area. You might find some really cool old ones there. I found a ton at Tim & Avi's Retrieval before they shut down...they were the ones that used to be on the ceiling at the Murat Theatre. I'm using them, or i'd offer to sell them! :)

I have been to a website a while back, and they had 2x4 lightweight tin looking , wan plastic panels that you glue to an existing ceiling. Now I can't remember the website. Any information will be appreciated.
I would look at www.armstrong.com......they have several original types of tin-look ceiling tiles.....

I have always wantd a pressed tin ceiling and in my new harshly, in one room, the ceiling panels are white but patterned so that they could like like pressed tin if painted correctly. What colors should I use? an overlay? not oil characterize if possible! What about shadows and outlines of the squares of "pressed tin"?
This could be unstrained if you have some artistic ability. If not find someone who does.
Maybe study a picture of "pressed tin" and of course simulate it's distinguishing characteristics and features. I assume the lightest areas are the most forward. If it's glossy maybe you could paint on a gloss after wards. Maybe a satin gleam. I think some glosses can be corrosive to the under paint. If it's copper I would paint the panels orange and then spray them lightly from far away a dusty brown and use a actual watery stain and put it in the crevices. You could practice and develop techniques on something of a similar quality before you're really quick. Good Luck!

Is there an inexpensive place to buy stamped metal ceiling panels?

I am remodelling the kithen and disposition the idea of replacing the sheetrock ceiling with stamped tin decorative ceiling tiles. I checked it out on line and I found a place that sells them for around $20 per panel. I weigh that is expensive. Is there a cheap alternative. The house is 60 years old. I want the kitchen to have character. I love the way the stamped tin tiles look on the ceiling. If there is a cheaper molded fake version, I can accept that as well. I just want to add texture to the ceiling with some intricate detail. I want it to be affordable also. The kitchen is about 12ft x 12ft. I will be starting with exposed joists.
Explore at your local mobile home supply, There is a skirt for the bottom of trailers that look like ceiling panels that will work. Another impression used in restaurants and stores is corrugated steel panels, looks right for the period.
