How do I age and distress a pressed tin/metal frame?
The represent frame was faux finished in a soft ivory color with green and few other colors underneath. I removed the creative faux finish and now I'm lost as to how to get that dark ebony distressed look.
First sprawl pant it in the "main" color-then take it outside while the wind is blowing and add the gold or silver touches. The ease up will put a light touch of the color on it and make it look distressed. I have done this alot and I've really been pleased with the way it turns out.

You could dye it a base color and then once that's dry go over it with a glaze (paint mixed with water) to get all the indents. Or you could also patina it. They sell the real patina mix at craft stores. It turns out really cool.
Where can I find websites that have information on tin and/or aluminum how to projects?
I am a modern hispanic artist that wants to further my artistic creativity. I want to make punched tin or aluminum frames, ex voto's, lamp shades ect.. I can't find a web number like this online. Does anyone know of any? Even a country site that shows the process. I have sordof figured it out but I am inconsistent on how to get rid of the sharp edges. I would "really" appreciate someones help. Thank you!!!
You can get rid of biting edges by folding them, turning under, or wrapping in tape.

How can I cut tin ceiling tiles and create a frame out of them?
It's an anniversary up. Huge 2' by 2' tiles. What should I use to cut them and any suggestions on how to create a glass center to insert pictures.
Tin snips.. you can find those at Lowe's -Retreat Depot and measure what size you want the glass to be and call your local glass place. They cut to size. Don't cease to remember a good pair of leather gloves from one of the warehouse stores. The tin is sharp and can leave a good gash.
how do i attatch my christmas lights to follow the frame on a hot tin roof?
also, do i miss to insulate between the lights and the roof, it gets very hot here over xmas.
Use window-pane clips that slide between the sheets of tin.
You can find them at conventional hardware stores, or places like Home Depot or lowes.
If you do not lack to use those, there are clip strips that can be attached to the roof and the lights can be attached to the strips.
Do you need to insulate the lights? Presumably not, unless the lights start to ground out, causing breakers to trip, or fuses to pop. Then you simply need to upgrade them off the tin, or keep the plug from grounding on the roof or in water.
