I saw a Honas Wagner liable act for $ 1 million

The Honus Wagner, T206 Baseball Christmas card is the most expensive baseball card. It is believed that only 50-60 of these actually exist. Was last sold for 2.8 million.

As the wikipedia page explains, there are reasons as to why it's so rare. He didn't smoke and wanted his slated off the tobacco card, or he just withdrew permission, or that he was a smoker, but he did not want kids to have to buy tobacco products to get his be forthright, so he had them stop production of his card, etc..

Either way, by far the rarest and most sought after baseball card of all time.

What is the most expensive card in the 1991 Upper Deck complete set of baseball cards?

What is the most expensive brand of baseball cards?

Later Deck, because I purchased a few boxes of their Ultimate Collection at $350 each and Upper Deck Exquisite Basketball at $500 per "Duffel bag", when they first released a few years ago.

Anyways, their collation and guaranteed stars, rookies and insert cards are the best out of all the credit card companies out there and when they mean "guaranteed", you always get your money's worth.

Out of the $500 pack of UD Delicate Collection Basketball, I received a LeBron James patch # card w/ autograph out of #23, two low # regular rookie cards, a 1/1 Paul Transfix parallel card, Michael Jordan jersey card w/autograph out of #23, low # Delonte West rookie condolence card, Larry Bird # patch card w/autograph out of #33. I'm sure my card values out of that send off were worth over 2K!

What is the most expensive baseball card?

Overpower Answer will get 10 points

The 1909 T-206 Honus Wagner. Wagner didn't miss children to have to buy tobacco products to get his card and had the company remove his cards. Several made it onto the market and now go for $350,000-500,000. A very good example went for a log $1,100,000 a few years back, with the auctions little piece of the pie, the total damage was $1.165M

Top 7 Depressingly Cheap Baseball Cards

The greatest day of the month as an 11-year old was coming old folks' to a new Beckett Baseball Card Monthly in your mailbox.  Who was on the cover?  What went up?  What went down?  Who’s the Hottest and Coldest speculator?  What lies will readers tell in Autograph Experiences?  The worst lie, though, was not ever being told that “prevalent up” really means nothing, and what a card is “worth” was quite different than what was in the Beckett.  Never is that more manifest than if you cruise E Bay now and see how much your favorite “expensive” cards go for.  It’s unbelievably depressing.

7. Ken Griffey Jr. 1989 Upper Deck

This one hand-me-down to “book” (love that baseball card price guide slang) for $100, and you can find a new one for under ten bucks.  It’s really a bit refreshing that this one still goes for even that, many cards are way more depressing to check as you will see.  There is still an aura around the Griffey card, which is probably why it still costs something: most underappreciated participant of this generation; the first “high-end” set (which ended up making cards not as fun anymore); the first card of the first “high-end” set; when all is said a super-hyped rookie who actually panned out.  It may be the most famous card of the peak of collecting that didn’t inculpate curse words on a bat.

6. 1991 Topps Stadium Club

If 1989 Upper Deck was the first “high-end” set, Topps Arena Club was the first “ungodly high-end” set.  They started out at $4 per pack for 12 cards, and once their stylishness grew, they sometimes cost $8 or even higher.  I remember being at a card show where a guy was selling them at $4 during its peak, and kids were lined up to buy them like guys waiting for Neon Beaudeau in Chap-fallen Chips.  It was a really cool set—each player’s Topps rookie card was shown on the back, Nolan Ryan and Ozzie Smith were in tuxes, and Unconstrained Thomas had the most sought-after card.  You can now buy the entire set on E Bay for an opening bid of…five dollars.  Good God.  That’s a lot of lawns mowed for nothing.
