How do I add a minor league roster to my fantasy baseball league?
Jan 06, 2009 by amazinmets44 | Posted in Fantasy Sports
I scantiness to add a minor league roster to my fantasy baseball league. We use Yahoo fantasy baseball but would like for each team to have a minor league roster of players that could later become keepers that is kept offline. How would I go about implementing this?
You cant...
You could however set up the lassie league offline..and simply make sure each owner has a copy. But as far as doing it online through yahoo you cant..nor through anyone else that i am aware of.
That seems like a whole lot of exertion for nothing...since you cannot have a roster of minor leaguers you'd have to use up the available players on the waiver/FA wire...
I would set up my Yahoo league...go through the draft...then let each virtuoso "select" players from the remaining players and record it offline..making sure each holder has a list of each others players...but be careful of waiver claims etc as it would be easy to forget who owned who etc.Just seems like a lot of un indispensable work for no gain

You can use Yahoo Groups and set up a society for your league and keep the rosters stored there and hold an offline draft there using the message board. We use it in my keeper it works eager. We are adding a minor league roster this year too.
Good Luck

I am a 17 year old boy living on hanker island. I have never played baseball on a team before and I am not really athletic. However I can play the infield decently. I want to play baseball this summer but I miss a league for beginners. Is there a league for beginners around my age on Long Island?

How do i delete a Yahoo Fantasy Baseball League?
Apr 04, 2007 by Tim C | Posted in Baseball
I started a Originality Baseball League on yahoo. It is a free league. I had six teams and we drafted are teams. I then wanted to add two more teams, but because we had already drafted i couldnt add the other players. So i thought i would eliminate the existing league and start a new one. I thought this would be easy, but for some reason i can not find anywhere to delete the league.
If you know that would be helpful.
It can only be done If you're the commissioner, look for it under commissioner tools or something, it should say a close league or something along those lines.

How do you change your fantasy baseball team to a keeper league?
Mar 29, 2008 by Desi Tiger | Posted in Baseball
I am currently the commisioner in a fancy baseball league by Yahoo! and all the guys said that they want to make it a keeper league. So how do I do it? Please help?!
In Yahoo, after you judge how many keepers you want and select them for next year, you have to be careful in the free version. After you set the draft order, each team must pick their keepers first. This can get impure up if someone does not pre-rank appropriately. I also exclude everyone else's keepers when preranking.
Also know that during the draft if you have someone in your que other than keepers, if heyday runs out, Yahoo will take the que player. So put your keepers in your que first or keep it clean.
All this can be avoided by upgrading to a plus league. The Commissioner has the ability to set the keepers for each duo prior to the draft.
Keeper leagues are a lot of fun. Can also be a headache if you have players that don't pay attention or if you have a lot of turnover.
Advice - don't get too many keepers. 5-7 in a 12 get league is enough. Otherwise bottom teams can't rebound.
Good luck. Have fun.
