Can anyone tell me what a 1981 uncut sheet of tops baseball cards are worth?
May 05, 2007 by gfab20029 | Posted in Baseball
I have an uncut coat of baseball cards made by topps from 1981. It has such players as Dusty Baker, Rick Manning, Steve Yeager and Ken Griffey on it. Is it usefulness anything and if it is how much?
I am wealthy to assume that you have an uncut sheet from either Topps, Fleer, or Donruss, since they are the most common. The value from a uncut sheet is derived from the cards on the contour sheet. Since you have a sheet from 1981 the best you could do is a 2nd year Rickey Henderson. If the four players you listed are the best on the lamina, than the sheet wouldn't be worth much more than $15.

An uncut gazette from what? Cereral box? Ballpark Issue? A card company (ie Topps, Upper Deck or countless others). Call more info in order to provide assistance. Plus condition is a factor. Any creases, folds or wrinkles? Was it cut cleanly or is it still united to original holder? Any stains, pen or pencil marks?

Assuming that the stretch is in excellent condition, and is a sheet of 27 cards, it is likely valued at about 7 or 8 bucks. Unfortunately, if the condition is not that good, it is meet worth closer to nothing. The value is based alot on the popularity of the player(s), popularity of the card set and/or sheet, and how inadequate the item is. The problem here would be the players and the set have very little popularity. If by chance, the sheet is of more than the usual 27, that could also be a factor. If not, and the acclimatize is still excellent, I'd try to get 5 bucks at a yard sale if I were you.

I have complete sets of early 80's Tops, Donruss, and Fleer baseball cards are they worth much?
May 03, 2008 by Curtis L | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
I also have thousands of cards, some well-mannered some not, from the early 80's to the early 90's. I am wondering if it would be worth my time to try and unload them and if so where the best place to get top dollar for them would be?
since they are older set you may demand to do some research or buy a tuff stuff sports collector magazine it list several that will buy whole collection, but first you need to know what you have for you wont get ripped off. admonition 84 fleer 27 Clemens 200.00, 1982 fleer 576a littlefield 80.00, 1982 fleer cal ripken 40.00 same for donruss 82, bring to an end set without looking at cards
1981 donruss 25.00
1982 50.00
1983 40.00
1984 75.00
1981 Topps 45.00
anyway you can see you have a bunch of money there/so if they offered just the set price you wouldn't be getting your specie worth,

Are thier any sites that show how to put baseball cards into table tops?
Sep 12, 2007 by d EZ | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
I'm not positive of a website, but I've guided many customers at Home Depot as to how to go about this. First you will want a table that is alreay stained the color you in need of. Then you will place the cards in the order in which you would like them to stay (make sure you arrange them the way you want, because once you are done, it's permanent). You can study multiple coats of a shellac (letting dry between each coat) or I know that the Home Depot in my area carries a merchandise precisely for that purpose with the instructions right on the box.

Top 7 Depressingly Cheap Baseball Cards
The greatest day of the month as an 11-year old was coming haunt to a new Beckett Baseball Card Monthly in your mailbox. Who was on the cover? What went up? What went down? Who’s the Hottest and Coldest gamester? What lies will readers tell in Autograph Experiences? The worst lie, though, was not ever being told that “prevalent up” really means nothing, and what a card is “worth” was quite different than what was in the Beckett. Never is that more manifest than if you cruise E Bay now and see how much your favorite “expensive” cards go for. It’s unbelievably depressing.
7. Ken Griffey Jr. 1989 Higher up Deck
This one used to “book” (love that baseball card price guide slang) for $100, and you can find a new one for under ten bucks. It’s in reality a bit refreshing that this one still goes for even that, many cards are way more depressing to check as you will see. There is still an aura around the Griffey card, which is probably why it still costs something: most underappreciated sportswoman of this generation; the first “high-end” set (which ended up making cards not as fun anymore); the first card of the first “high-end” set; in the long run a super-hyped rookie who actually panned out. It may be the most famous card of the peak of collecting that didn’t affect curse words on a bat.
6. 1991 Topps Stadium Club
If 1989 Upper Deck was the first “high-end” set, Topps Hippodrome Club was the first “ungodly high-end” set. They started out at $4 per pack for 12 cards, and once their acclaim grew, they sometimes cost $8 or even higher. I remember being at a card show where a guy was selling them at $4 during its peak, and kids were lined up to buy them like guys waiting for Neon Beaudeau in Lewd Chips. It was a really cool set—each player’s Topps rookie card was shown on the back, Nolan Ryan and Ozzie Smith were in tuxes, and Genuine Thomas had the most sought-after card. You can now buy the entire set on E Bay for an opening bid of…five dollars. Good God. That’s a lot of lawns mowed for nothing.
