What is the difference between a natural science museum and a natural history museum ?

I noticed that many natural history museums in the Southeast US are called natural realm museums and they mostly have, local items. They do not have many items as the natural history museums in northern cities such as Chicago and New York. I wondered why it is .

There shouldn't be any alteration between natural history museum and a natural sciences museum. The term natural history was most widely used in the eighteenth century to refer to the natural sciences. The differences you observe in name and satisfied between the museums in the northeast and the southeast probably responds to the fact that museums in the northeast are older than in the south east.

How to get to the Museum Of Natural History from The Bronx?

how to get to the museum of natural history from the bronx. in the vicinity station is morris park.

Morris Car park on the "5" I am guessing.

Take the "5" to 149th Street/Grand Concourse. Change for the UPTOWN "4" indoctrinate and go to 161st Street/Yankee Stadium (one stop). Go downstairs and transfer for the downtown "B" retainers which will take you to the 81st St/Museum Of Natural History stop (if no "B" is available, take the "D" train but get out at 125th Street for a downtown "C", which will take you to the 81st St terminus.)

Or if you want, you can change for the "2" train at 180th Street, then change for the "1" at 96th In someone's bailiwick to go to the 79th Street station. If you're up for the walk you can do that (it's 3 blocks) or take the eastbound M79 bus to Central Park West.

Which is more fun for kids - the Science Museum or the Natural History Museum?

Boy of identically 15, girl nearly 13 and a toddler 18 months

I'm thinking the Science Museum as it's got more interactive poppycock - buttons to push and such like, but the Natural History has the dinosaurs doesn't it?

If you kids are like my confrere and i were, then you cant go wrong with either choice! I would have been in heaven with science museum, i really liked space, but my brother really liked disosaurs, therefore i liked them also =D, my fellow-creature wouldnt have cared one way or the other, they are both very amusing. It would probably be easier to not give them the choice between the two, because again if they are like we were, then it would be the opposite of what the other wanted no matter what. Barely choose the one you think they will have more fun at(you having fun as well)
